A Literal Interpretation

Do not change these letters,
Unless from the essence of the editor,
Floating in the soul's seat of your passions,
Make your body into a vessel,
To sail upon the texts and influences,
Of individual experience,
For this is what we are,
Do not forsake the winds your sails are spurred by,
Do not begrudge your skin or bones,
Cast away mechanisms of propulsion,
That are not your own,
And when you're yearning,
Turn to learning,
When at wits end,
Find a friend in making blank your mind,
No thought at all bends to no circumstance,
If only temporarily,
Making a break in the waves for theory,
Just theorizing,
There is always knowledge to discover,
Still understanding that's been covered over,
You must unfurl and unwind,
The universe itself,
May exist within a mind,
We can't define, limit or bind,
Cannot unfold without folding first,
No incline without decline,
We reach a sudden halt,
When the Self summits the Vault,
All unseen factors thrown over side,
When it's decided you decide,
Truth still pulses through the veins,
Even of the profane,
And in the lives we're living,
Stagnation breeds creation,
Perhaps even of more stagnation,
Probing unseen territory,
Breaching what will become our fate,
Lightening the load of personality,
Step lightly,
Carry your own weight,
Breath of life in pain or strife,
And in making ends meet,
Pieces of a puzzle,
Assembled,
Resulting of defeat.
