Playing with the machine,
Where strange men,
Who are broken still enough,
To be offering,
Their nicotine,
Caffeine,
Their sympathy,
And change.
How long will we sit here,
How long will this take?
For convenience sake,
For Christs' sake,
And should we be expected to be patient?
This food so sick in colour,
But so thick in taste,
Shove it in our hungriness,
Preservative of this old state.
I'll explode before I dissipate,
Unleash the flames and tidal waves,
That we make,
When we build,
Then break,
Our Burning Towers,
Over flood gates.
We will wait,
Only for you,
We will consecrate this,
We will make you animated,
We won't have you taking us out,
Any other way.
This watery world opening up around us,
Through the blurry,
Why can't we see?
Why wouldn't they let us up on their knees?
Were we imagining something?
A spray, a mist of disbelief,
May we please,
May we please,
May we please, please, see???
